Prenatal + Postpartum Movement

Alex Anderson

In 2014 Alex completed her 200hr certification with Christina Raskin and Soul Thrive Yoga. She had no intention of teaching, but the power of yoga sparked a curiousity in her on how to bring students into the present moment? She began teaching immediatly, searching for ways to honor the individuality of each human body while uniting them in their own true nature. As a teacher she has always continued as a student. Opening herself more to the power of yoga, completing her 500hr certification with Alexandria Crow, as well as certifications in fascia release, hands on assists, philosophy, Yin, prenatal and postnatal. Her intention as a teacher is to use breath centered movement to open her students up to this power. To the power that she sees everyday through the ways which we conduct ourselves, through self discovery, stillness and connection.

Clinical Counsellor

Chloe Stevens, RCC

Since a young age, I’ve had a strong drive to alleviate the suffering of others. This drive, combined with passion for understanding human nature led me to pursue undergraduate studies in psychology and counselling at Kwantlen Polytechnic University where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Counselling. I am currently studying at Adler University one month away from obtaining my master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. My formal education is enriched by volunteering in diverse settings including crisis responder at the Kids Help Phone and numerous positions at the BC Family Justice Innovation Lab.

Yoga, Pilates

Megan Thompson

Megan began her yoga journey in 2008 and took her first hot yoga class in 2012, she quickly fell in love and has been a practitioner ever since. As her love for yoga grew, she started to branch out and explore different yoga styles and ways in which to move the body. Megan's love for both fitness and yoga and everything it brings to both the body and mind lead her to her first 200-hour Yoga & Fitness teacher training in 2019. Megan began sharing her passion with the community through various styles of Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Megan has also completed her Yin Yoga teacher training and is excited to share a slower side of the practice with the community. Megan loves that yoga not only challenges you but also brings you peace at the same time, like a yin-yang symbol it represents both sides. Her classes are a fun and exhilarating union of yoga, strength, and conditioning, with the intention to tap into the body's full potential, develop strength, and deepen the mind-body connection.

Registered Massage Therapist

Justin Lorette, RMT

I have always had a passion for the sciences and have always strived to pursue knowledge and understanding in all I do. After suffering a whiplash injury in 2017, I sought care through massage therapy and chiropractic work. It was after seeing the care others put into me through manual therapy that I decided that I wanted something different than Chemical Engineering and decided to change paths into Massage Therapy. I quickly fell in love with all aspects of the profession and was excited to give back in a more meaningful way than I did before as others had done with myself. I grew up in Richmond and currently live in Ladner with my wife, 2 children, and dog. I enjoy staying active in as many ways as I can including cycling, hiking, and chasing my children around the house. I practice using a pain-science and movement therapy approach to patient care, using Swedish relaxation techniques, myofascial release, and trigger point work — combined with an emphasis on home-care and hydrotherapy to ensure my patients live as pain-free as possible.

RN, IBCLC

Amanda Schendrieck

I am a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Over the last eight years I have had the pleasure of working with women and their families in many different capacities. I started my career working on a hospital maternity unit caring for women and their newborns postpartum. After falling in love with that work, I earned my advanced perinatal nursing certificate to be able to support women during labour and delivery. All of this has led me to my current role in the community as a Public Health Nurse. It is an absolute joy and my biggest passion to have a small part in one of the most meaningful events in a family’s life. I always knew that maternal child health had my heart, but after having my own two beautiful children and experiencing motherhood first hand, my passion for supporting new mothers grew deeper. I so look forward to connecting with you. If I can support you in any way, please reach out through our contact form.
